Texas Power Grid
The Digital Photographs Texas Power Grid and Washburn Tunnel Survey, Houston, TX, took on a more analytical approach with the use of google maps and the failed Texas Power Grid. Texas Power Grid is a photograph in Houston of a street light that was on in an area that still had lights during the freeze. The outline is of the Texas Power Grid system juxtaposed on top of the photo-and orientated with the direction the photo was taken in. The eerie color of the light is mimicked in the lines of the power grid. Washburn Tunnel Survey, Houston, TX a photo deep inside the man-made Washburn Tunnel. The map drawing on top shows how the Ship Channel cuts straight through the photo showing the reality of the tunnel being underwater.
